Major: Bioindustrial Sciences
Profile: I did my masters in agricultural sciences from NWFP agricultural
university, Peshawar, Pakistan and then engaged myself in teaching and
research at a Biotechnology institute in the same university. Currently
I am a PhD student at Gene Research Center, University of Tsukuba, Japan.
It’s an honor for me to be a student of one of the most prestigious universities
in Japan. I like Japanese people, their rich and historic culture full
of colors and most importantly the all time busy campus life.
Research theme: I am interested in abiotic stresses and plants responses
at molecular level. Presently I am working on potato transformation for
abiotic stress tolerance, particularly salt stress tolerance.
